Washington, D.C. – Blockchain Innovation Project Co-Chairs Former Reps. David McIntosh and Tim Ryan have issued the following statement after the House passing of the Emmer amendment to the Financial Services and General Government (FSGG) Appropriations Bill:

“For too long, Gary Gensler and his SEC have acted outside of their legal constraints to wrongfully punish law-abiding consumers and investors in the digital asset industry. Thank you, House Majority Whip Emmer, for your leadership on the amendment. Our team is proud to have worked with him and his staff to shape this legislation and we applaud both Democrat and Republican Members who supported the amendment that protects American innovation and digital assets in the United States. Now, the Senate must continue working towards a common sense, bipartisan solution that allows blockchain technology to thrive while protecting American consumers and investors” – Former Reps. David McIntosh and Tim Ryan, Blockchain Innovation Project Co-Chairs.

Blockchain Innovation Project is a bipartisan organization, bringing leaders from both sides of the aisle together who share a goal of protecting American digital assets powered by blockchain technology.
